Electronics Technician

We are looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to assist with the assembly, installation and maintenance of Novecom’s environmental monitoring systems. Working both in the workshop and on client’s sites, you will travel throughout Australia and work autonomously in remote locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, assembly and maintenance of environment monitoring equipment
  • Troubleshooting, customer technical support, fault finding, service and maintenance
  • Conduct investigations in a documented and controlled manner and report findings
  • Implement, comply with and enforce environmental and workplace health and safety procedures
  • On-site servicing and maintenance of customer systems
  • Installation and commissioning activities
  • Planning and execution of scheduled and unscheduled operations and maintenance activities
  • Providing high-level technical support to customers and internal staff as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will meet the following essential criteria:

  • Qualifications and experience in electronics, electrotechnology or instrumentation
  • Proven ability to install, calibrate and maintain environmental monitoring equipment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Structured thinking and sound analytical skills in fault-finding and problem solving
  • Positive attitude, highly self motivated and good attention to detail
  • Previous related experience working with ambient air quality, particulate / dust, CEMS monitoring and environmental instrumentation would be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, work with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Extensive hands-on experience in soldering, wiring extra low voltage power systems, and general fit-out of measurement and control equipment
  • Current Driver’s Licence and ability to travel as required
